BENDING OVER BACKWARD FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH
Written by Jen O'Brien on May 15, 2019
Yogis were out in force on Tuesday, May 14th to support Women’s Health Week and Essential Health Clinic on Caledonia Street.
Yoga in the Street is an annual event hosted by Rootdown Yoga Studio to bring awareness to women’s health issues and highlight Essential Health Clinic programs. Attendees were treated to an outdoor vinyasa flow class led by Emily Sustar of Rootdown Yoga Studio. In exchange, yogis were asked to donate personal care items for New Horizons Women’s Shelter in La Crosse County and Brighter Tomorrows in Monroe County.
In addition, Z-Care and Jolivette Family Farms donated $500 to support Essential Health Clinic and their mission to professionally and discreetly assist people with their reproductive health concerns.
Essential Health Clinic is a fully-independent 501 (c) (3) nonprofit entity. No one is refused services because of inability to pay, charges for services are generally based on income and family size. Your support ensures that Essential Health Clinic continues to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to over 6,000 people each year.
