A second patient with HIV is now in remission in London, giving a new hope that we’re closer to a cure for HIV! More than 10 years ago a man in Germany sustained HIV-1 remission without drugs after receiving a rare bone marrow transplant to treat his leukemia. Now that they’ve used a similar treatment to achieve remission in a second patient, the outlook for future HIV-1 patients is even more positive!
