INTERVIEW WITH NIGEL LYTHGOE OF SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE

Nigel Lythgoe is an English tv and film director and producer, former dancer in the Young Generation and choreographer. He is noted for being the producer of the shows Pop Idol, American Idol, and is the creator and executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance on Fox! The new season of So You Think You Can Dance features a younger generation of dancers between the ages of 8-13. Nigel is joined by judges Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo. The show is currently airing on Monday nights, at 7pm, on Fox.
Nigel, along with director Adam Shankman, founded the Dizzy Feet Foundation in 2009 to support, improve, and increase access to dance education in the U.S. And in 2010, Nigel Lythgoe launched National Dance Day to encourage Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and fight obesity.
