CP Therapy Fund for Caleb Berger

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Caleb was born August 26, 2005 with Cerebral Palsy.  He has learned sign language and has some ability to speak.  Caleb can crawl, but he is not able to walk.

An innovative program that helps children with CP walk, uses Therasuit in conjuction with intense physical therapy.  Therasuit is a device that facilitates the development of new gross and fine motor skills like sitting, standing, and walking.  Caleb has the opportunity to participate in this therapy at a development center in Decorah, Iowa at the end of August 2010.  This intense training regimen will help Caleb to gain the strength to walk!  By the end of Caleb’s kindergarten year, hopefully he will be able to play with the other kids on the playground!  The cost for this amazing program exceeds ten thousand dollars.  The Berger family would appreciate any help to make this happen for their son!

To help meet the expenses, there is a CP Therapy Fund set up at Caleb’s church.  Donations can be sent to the Melrose Alliance Church.  PO Box 283, Melrose, WI 54642.  Please make checks payable to the Melrose Alliance Church and in the memo of the check please note CP Therapy Fund.

Wafer Food Pantry in La Crosse

Z-Care, with our partner Merchants Bank along with the Minnesota Beef Council, made a $400 donation to Wafer Food Pantry.  Wafer Food Pantry had an unfortunate break in where a large amount of meat was stolen from their freezers.  Our $400 donation helped to replenish the freezers, which will help those in our community who visit Wafer Food Pantry for their meals.
