Merchants Bank and ZCare are happy to have made a donation to Leslie from Richland Center. Last August, Leslie had surgery for breast cancer. Since then, she has had serious problems with her insurance, who have left her with a $12,000 bill. She is facing a tough road with chemotherapy and radiation. ZCare was able to make a monetary donation to Leslie, to help her with upcoming medical and personal costs.

The WTC 3rd semester nursing students are collecting donations for the New Horizon’s Women’s Shelter 8:00AM- Noon on Saturday, March 13th at Dahl Automotive in Onalaska and La Crosse. Suggested items are: paper towels, personal items, paper plates, dish soap, coffee, bus tokens, gift certificates and money.

They’re also selling tickets to the New Horizon’s Benefit at the Pump House on April 8th.

Merchants Bank and ZCare are very happy to have made a donation to the benefit for Michael and Shelly Bolton on February 27th, 2010. Michael is a Gulf War veteran who was severely injured in an accident at his home. He and his wife Shelly, who works as a rural mail carrier, have been experiencing severe financial hardship due to medical bills for almost a year now. Their benefit was highly successful, and we’re still waiting for a grand total. Thank you to all the friends, family and community members who were able to help out this wonderful family!

Alan was a truck driver and father of two. He was fatally stabbed near Chicago in January. You can read the story HERE.

A benefit is planned to help his family with funeral and medical expenses.

Merchants Bank and Z93 along with ZCare are happy to have made a donation to Mary in Onalaska. Mary has a full-time job and 4 children, ages 7 months-13 years old. Her husband recently had to receive open heart surgery because of a heart defect. Her co-worker Kathryn contacted ZCare and told us about what an amazing person Mary is, and all the charitable things she has done for others. They are currently without any vacation time left at work and struggling to pay the medical bills. ZCare was able to make a monetary donation to Mary and her family to help them with their costs.
