In May of this year, Tim was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure and is in need of a double transplant. He is not able to work and has since had to close his salon. His wife Kim has been by his side and has also been unable to work full-time; their families have been making weekly trips from Rochester for his dialysis. Please come out and help Tim and his family with their growing medical expenses!

Donation to Veronika Rose Lee

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Veronika is 3 -years old. She has been suffering from Fibrodysplacia, or sometimes known as “jello-bone.” It is an extremely rare disease of the connective tissue.  A mutation of the body’s repair mechanism causes fibrous tissue change into bone when damaged. In many cases, injuries can cause joints to become permanently frozen in place. Veronika has had over 20 surgeries on her right leg, which had to be amputated below the knee not long ago. Her mother, Glenda, is a single mom and has been struggling to keep work with her daughter’s constant need for medical attention. Veronika has not been able to experience the life that most children her age have, and she and her mother have been experiencing financial hardship for a long time.

ZCare and Z93 are happy to be able to make a $500 donation to help fund the new leg that Veronika will be receiving this Friday, 8/22/08. Thank you so much to everybody who has helped to support ZCare, which allows us to help people like Veronika and her mom!

Shearing for Sharing fundraiser for St.Clare Health Mission at Irish Fest

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008
August 9, 2008
3:30 pm

Kathy Lucey and Donna Finn are heading up a Shamrock Club and Irishfest sponsored fundraiser for the St. Clare Health Mission entitled “Shearing for Sharing”. Jim Kroner, Rick Pervisky, Dick Record and Jim Tracy have agreed to run for the honor of shearing a sheep “Paddy” at Irishfest on Saturday, August 9 at 3:30 p.m. in the Cultural Tent.

These men will be distributing ballots and asking for donations throughout the community to secure votes. Votes are $1 each or 6 for $5. You may vote for more than one person and vote as many times as you wish on one ballot. We also hope that you will be able to gather votes from people you know. Donations and ballots may be turned in to any of the four contestants or Kathy or Donna. Ballots can also be obtained here.

If you have questions, please call Kathy Lucey 608-788-6759 or Donna Finn 608-782-5936. Or visit the website here.

This should be a fun event and ALL of the proceeds will go directly to St. Clare Health Mission.
