OktoberBreastOktoberBreastWe can’t thank you enough for your generous “support!”

During the month of September we launched our OktoberBreast campaign, promising to give $2 for every bra you donated to local breast care centers. WOW! We are overwhelmed at your response! In total we collected 4,497 bras which equals a $8,994 donation from the ZCare fund thanks to our partner Majestic Pines Casino, Bingo & Hotel.

We invite you to check out the public display of your support on our building at 201 Sate Street in LaCrosse through the first weekend of Oktoberfest. The remaining bras will be shown on our float during the Oktoberfest Maple Leaf parade on Saturday, September 29th.

Many people have asked what we’ll do with all those bras after OktoberBreast. In the end each one of your gently used donations will find a good home at local shelters for women in need.

The $8,994 donation will be split equally between the Norman L. Gillette Jr., breast cancer research fellowship at the Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care at Gundersen Lutheran and the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Center for Breast Care.

OktoberBreast would not have been possible without you and our ZCare partners Majestic Pines Casino, Bingo, and Hotel. Thanks again for helping us support and save ‘the girls’ one bra at a time!
