Corey Feldman won't be at Haim's funeral Corey Haim is being laid to rest today, thanks to the gracious donation that star memorabilia website Startifacts is making to the former 80s idol’s family, so that they can transport his body to Toronto and conduct a family funeral. One person that you would automatically assume would be in attendance is Haim’s longtime best friend, Corey Feldman.
You would be wrong.
Feldman released a statement yesterday, expressing the family’s desire to keep the ceremony a very small and private memorial, and his wishes to respect their desires. Feldman wrote, “I will remain in Los Angeles quietly mourning and planning his memorial.”
Haim passed away last Wednesday of pulmonary congestion. Suspected drug overdose also plays a potential part in the death, with authorities wondering if perhaps Haim obtained the prescription drugs they found on-scene illegally via a prescription-drug ring that’s been operating with fraudulant doctor’s prescriptions. The toxicology reports could take up to 8 weeks, and only once those are complete will we know how big of a part drugs played in his death.
Spencer Pratt to leave "The Hills" Spencer Pratt said this week that he was leaving “The Hills” of his own free-will to take a job so that he could join in efforts to fight “cyber-terrorism.”
Yeah, right.
Pratt reportedly ran his mouth a bit too loud and took things a bit too far when he threatened to kill a female producer. The woman is said to have had the audacity to ask Pratt to do something that he didn’t quite feel like complying with, and his response was, “I should kill you for even asking me to do that!”
The producer immediately filed a complaint with “Hills” producers, and they’ve threatened to permanently remove Spencer from the show’s cast list. He is, however, being given a second chance for some reason. Pratt has been told that he has to take a 6 week leave to complete anger management training. Once he’s completed the course, he’ll be allowed to return to the set for filming.
Kate Gosselin's a diva! NO WAY! If Jon Gosselin was hoping that his ex-wife, Kate, was his ticket in for all of the backstage action on this coming season of “Dancing with the Stars,” he was dead wrong. The mother of 8 has banned him from the ballroom. Sources on-set say that she told the producers, as well as security, in no uncertain terms that her former hubby was not to be allowed anywhere near the competition.
One of Kate’s friends says, “You’ll see a whole new Kate up there dancing…the last thing in the world she wants is to look over her shoulder during the waltz and see overweight, scruffy Jon hunched over a cigarette, Ed Hardy T-shirt and a new young lady friend mugging for the cameras.
Ew. Well, when you put it that way…
In other “Dancing with the Stars” news, despite initial reports that Gosselin was a cast favorite, it seems the winds have quickly begun to blow the other way. Page Six is reporting the TLC reality show mom as a “total diva,” and anonymous sources from the set have accused of her setting herself apart from the rest of the cast and crew so that she can be “queen bee.” In fact, it’s rumored that Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir pulled out of show negotiations because he was so put off by Kate’s attitude during talks to appear in the contest. Pamela Anderson hasn’t even been above bonding with the rest of the dancers, but Gosselin continues to snub everyone and treat the crew as if they’re lepers.
It’s amazing what a few less pounds and expensive hair extensions can do for a gal’s attitude.
