Description:

Lydia struggles on a daily basis with Selective Mutism, which is an anxiety disorder that effects her ability to communicate in social settings. Lydia is able to communicate in settings where she feels comfortable. For an FCCLA STAR event, Lexi is have having a walk to raise money to send Lydia to the Child Mind institute in New York, (which is intense therapy that will hopefully help her over come this disorder) the Mental Health Association, and to the Westby Area School District to educate the staff about Selective Mutism, as well as other mental health disorders.
Special guest is Lauren Whiteway, Lydia's friend from Canada that struggles with Selective Mutism as well!
There will be music, raffles, silent auction, bake sale, Chili/Chili Cheese dogs and more! Registration will be $10 at the door and will include an t-shirt! If you plan to attend, please RSVP on Facebook so they have an idea of how many shirts to order and what sizes! Bracelets will be available for $1! Please come support mental health and walk with Lydia!
