Please join for a benefit for Mackenzie Zibrowski on October 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the MAAD Alley in Caledonia, Minnesota.
To help understand why we are doing this here is a little history on her situation. Mackenzie was born on Feb. 19, 2004, to Rich and Diana Zibrowski. In 2007, she was diagnosed with a tumor on her Optic Nerve and spent many days at Mayo Hospital. Then in 2011, Mackenzie needed surgery on her hips to correct the bones, and then in 2013, to remove the hardware from her hips. In July of 2015, Mackenzie was rushed to the hospital in La Crosse, was then sent to Mayo where they found another tumor on her brain. In December, just before Christmas, it was determined that she would have to undergo chemo to stop the tumors from growing. Mackenzie started her first chemo treatment March of 2016 and her last treatment was in February of 2017. Driving to Rochester required the family to not work, and sometimes required a hotel stay. During that time Mackenzie was very sick, lost a lot of weight, had to be tube fed for about 2 months, and she also had to wear braces on her legs to help her walk because of the damage to the muscles in her legs and feet.
She also lost most of the vision in her right eye. In March of 2017, she had another MRI and something was found on the other side of her brain. Follow-up appointments continue to determine prognosis, outcome, and treatment.
We are having this benefit to help raise funds to help with the expenses that the family has and is still incurring due to all the doctor visits, medicine and overnight stays that they have to make while she is a patient at Rochester. We are in need of cash donations, gift baskets or large items for auction. Cash donations should be made payable to Mackenzie’s New Hope. If you are unable to donate, please consider getting a team together to bowl. Shifts will be 11:00 a.m., 2:30, and 6:00 p.m. at MAAD Alley. Donations can be mailed to MAAD Alley, 114 Bissen St., Caledonia, MN 55921, or if you would like us to pick up a donation, or have any questions, please contact Amanda Jansen 507-481-4959,
