Mississippi Valley Conservancy’s 20th Anniversary
Trail Trek Challenge — Sunday, June 25th
The Trail Trek Challenge is Mississippi Valley Conservancy’s new fundraising event—an adventurous day of trail exploration and competition where teams compete to raise money for the Conservancy’s mission of protecting land from development, for the forests, prairies, wetlands, streams and farms that enrich our communities, and for the health and well-being of current and future generations.
On the morning of Sunday, June 25, teams made up of friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family members will meet at event headquarters—Stoney Creek Inn in Onalaska—and throughout the morning they will hike three trails on Conservancy-protected properties in La Crosse County.
Two things set the Trail Trek Challenge apart from other local walk/run events. First, the location. The Trek committee has chosen seven properties with beautiful trails, and each team will be assigned to hike three of them. Second, the teams won’t know which trail they’ll be assigned to hike first until they check in for the event, and they won’t know the location of the second hike until they’ve completed the first. The third hike for all teams will be at the La Crosse River Conservancy property adjacent to Stoney Creek Inn, with lunch and awards to the top fundraisers and fastest teams to follow.
Help raise money and celebrate their 20th anniversary!
