Palace officials have confirmed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will get married on May 19th! The service will be held at St. George's Chapel and is scheduled to begin at 6 A.M. central, so you'll have to get up early on a Saturday if you want to watch it live.

I'm more interested in watching the reception based on the rumors of who could be performing. The latest heavy rumor is Ed Sheeran! Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, and Rod Stewart may be invited to play as well as Pharrell Williams, Duran Duran, and Elton John. Elton already moved a couple of his concert dates due to a "scheduling conflict" and Sheeran is scheduled to be in Ireland on 5/19 but that could be moved as well...

Ryan is 15 years old and a Sophomore at West Salem High School.  He has played soccer for the last 6 years and has been a soccer referee for the last 3 years. He has also been an assist coach for his sister's soccer team the last 2 years.  Besides sports Ryan is a Boy Scout and holds the "Life Rank" and is working towards his "Eagle Rank".  He enjoys working at the Boy Scout Camp in summer teaching the younger scouts and being outdoors.
Ryan is also involved in Odyssey of the Mind (OM) in which his team in 8th grade won state and took 27th place at the world finals. For the last 2 years he has been the assistant coach for his sister's Odyssey of the Mind team, which won state last year in their division.  Ryan also competes in DECA at his school, which last year as a Freshmen he placed 3rd in regionals and earned him a spot at state. Ryan has made the honor roll throughout the last 2 years.
Ryan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes three years ago and as you can see he does not let this disease slow him down or stop him from doing the things he loves.

Reese is a 5th grader at West Salem Elementary. She plays basketball, volleyball, and soccer. She’s in her first year of Club ball and they just earned their third 1st place finish of the season. She does great in school and has recently been acknowledged by 2 teachers and the guidance counselor for standing up for a fellow student who was getting bullied.

Below is an excerpt from the email we received from her teacher:

I am so happy to share some things that I have noticed from Reese in school. Reese has been exceptionally responsible during class and with her homework.  The main reason that I am emailing you today is because of a situation in the 5th grade that Reese handled with incredible maturity, support, and compassion. One of the girls in fifth grade has been getting picked on daily, making school a negative environment for her. Along with several other students, Reese has been openly standing up against these bullies. This act of standing up for a peer has been noticed by other fifth grade teachers, special education staff, support staff, and our administration. As a fifth grader standing up to your peers is not the easiest thing to do, but some students can do this with ease. By standing up for what she believes in, Reese shows incredible maturity and leadership! It makes me proud to have such mature, compassionate, and strong leaders in my class and I'm excited to see them carry these qualities as they go on to middle school.

That was then...this is now!

I have worked at Z93 for almost 14 years.  I am grateful every day for the career that I have been blessed with!  When I started working at Z93 back in 2004, I was in great shape.  I was 23 years old and I was teaching dance, I enjoyed working out at the gym, and I was very active.  Life changed dramatically when my sole focus became my radio career.  It started with working 3rd shift, which was a major change in my life schedule.  After a couple of years I switched to 2nd shift and four years later, I changed my schedule again to host the morning show in 2007!  That was hard on my body and it seemed to take me a long time to get used to the eating and sleeping habits of each shift change.  Add in some major health problems along the way, and before you know it...I had gained 80 pounds over 13 years.  I'm still not exactly sure how I let that happen, but I did.  I guess it was the simple fact that eating fast food, anything that I could heat up in a microwave or anything fast, was easy for a girl on the go.  I also did my fair share of going out clubbing with friends and enjoying cocktails! :) That leads to eating more bad food and making poor nutrition choices.  It's a vicious cycle.  One that too many of us are far too familiar with, unfortunately.

I suffered a traumatic brain injury in January 2017.  Countless doctor visits for therapy and healing meant getting weighed a lot.  That was the first time I had weighed myself in a long time.  And it was like a punch to the gut each time I got on that scale.  And finally, I had a tough conversation with my doctor about my need to lose some weight in order to be more healthy.  It made me face the truth about where I had ended up.  Deep down I knew it, but when you hear it from a healthcare professional...somehow it becomes real.  It was time to do something major because I had been given a second chance at life.  I couldn't waste another minute...

I joined NuYou Weight Loss and More in February 2017 and in just 9 months I turned my life around.  80 pounds gone and over 80 inches melted away!  The programs at NuYou are incredible and the support is even better.  Before NuYou, nothing worked and I felt very defeated.  I just felt stuck.  Two of my friends showed me that their lives had improved because of NuYou and I wanted to be the next person to change my life.  So, I did!  (see more below)

I look at these pictures from before the weight loss program with NuYou, and I honestly have a hard time believing that these are pictures of ME.  I feel a lot of emotions.  Sadness, embarrassment, anger, but most of all...I feel free.  Thanks to NuYou Weight Loss and More, I'm not that person anymore.  I'm no longer unhealthy.  I'm stronger, I'm confident, I'm happy, I feel sexy, and most importantly...I am HEALTHY!  My only wish is that I would have done this sooner.  I can't get back the time that I wasted, but I can move forward knowing that I made the best decision for myself, my husband, and my family.

I firmly believe that it doesn't matter what size you are.  If YOU are comfortable with who you are and YOU feel healthy, and YOU are at peace with yourself, more power to you! I was not at peace with myself...but I am now.
