KYLE RICHARDS Biography:

After more than four decades in front of the camera, Kyle Richards is stepping behind it to bring her ideas, and a fictionalized version of her life, to the small screen. She currently serves as a co-executive producer of “American Woman,” a dramedy series inspired by her childhood, starring Alicia Silverstone, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Bartels, about a single mom (Silverstone) who struggles to raise her two daughters. The series debuts on the new Paramount Network on Thursday, June 7 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. A California native, Kyle Richards was born into an acting family in Hollywood, California. She landed her first role at age four in the Disney classic, Escape to Witch Mountain, playing the younger version of her real-life sister, Kim Richards.  Among over 100 film and television credits is a recurring role on “E.R.,” seven years on “Little House on the Prairie” and 105 episodes on the TBS family comedy “Down To Earth,” in addition to guest spots on programs like “CSI” and daytime work including “Days of Our Lives.” More recently she has become a fixture on reality television through eight seasons on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” as well as a recent appearance on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice.” On the big screen, Richards is known for her role in the original 1978 Halloween in addition to such features as Curfew and The Watcher in the Woods, alongside screen legend Bette Davis for which she was also nominated for a Young Artist Award.

#TRENDYTUESDAY #PRIDE #LOVEWINS

Something awesome came up in my Facebook memories today.

June 26, 2015 at 10:35 a.m. I posted, "Love finally wins. Today is a great day."

That was the day that the United States Supreme Court made same-sex marriage a right for the entire nation. Just before the end of Pride Month, couples all over the country learned they would be able to legally share their love and lives together.

Here's the New York Times article from that historic day.

Every step toward equality is big, but this one was a huge win for inclusion in the LGBTQ community!

Much love and happy #Pride

#TrendyTuesday #RealHero

Chadwick Boseman won Best Hero for Black Panther at the MTV Movie and TV Awards and he took the moment to highlight “a real-life hero,” James Shaw Jr., dedicating the award to him before handing it to him to keep. “it’s greater to acknowledge the heroes we have in real life … He fought off a gunman in Antioch, Tennessee at a Waffle House. He saved lives,” Boseman said of Shaw Jr. The actor also won the award for best performance in a movie later that night.

#TrendyTuesday #engagedalready

ariana grande pete davidson engaged

SNL's Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande announced their engagement this weekend after only a few weeks of dating. They were at Robert Pattinson's birthday party and were apparently telling everyone. “It’s a recent engagement. They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding,” says a source close to the couple. Pete just announced his split with his girlfriend Cazzie David a few weeks ago and that was a week after Ariana announced her split from Mac Miller.

The Miss America organization has eliminated the swimsuit portion of its competition for the first time in its 96-year history. “We will no longer judge our candidates on their outward physical appearance,” said Miss America chairwoman Gretchen Carlson. “It’s going to be what comes out of their mouth that we’re interested in, when they talk about their social impact initiatives.” Carlson said the competition would focus on the talent and interview phases to determine scholarship awards, rather than operate as a beauty pageant. “We’re moving forward,” she said, “and evolving in this cultural revolution.” The changes will start with this year’s broadcast September 9th.

Brittany and Ballzer checked in with Raeanna Johnson, former Miss Wisconsin and local and regional title holder, about her thoughts on the changes:
