WEEK OF APRIL 24, 2017
Kaitlyn Gilbertson is a junior at Black River Falls. Softball is her sport! When she's not playing softball, she's active in marching and concert band, playing the flute. She also competes in solo and Ensemble with flute and competes in singing.
Kaitlyn is very active with her church with the high school choir and is a Peer Minister. She's on the Honor Roll, was February's Student of the Month, and even has a part time job!
WEEK OF APRIL 3, 2017
Cole is a senior at Kickapoo High School. Cole works hard to excel inside and outside of the class room. He is an instrumental part of his robotics team and is the vice president of his FFA chapter. He is an active youth group member at his local church and he volunteers in many areas of his community. This year, Cole placed 13th out of 120 at cross country sectionals, and has sprinted his way to track and field sectionals the last 2 years. He has received over 20 awards and medals throughout his high school athletic career. When he isn't running the tracks outside, he is owning his grades inside as a 4 year high honor student and member of the national honor society. In addition to the hard work he puts in to his school work and extra-curriculars, Cole also maintains a full time job on his family dairy farm.

Maya Budin is a Senior at Luther High School in Onalaska. She is a dedicated gymnast and co-captain on the GET Area Co-op team which practices in Galesville. Despite the demanding time commitment of living in Sparta, going to school in Onalaska and attending gymnastics practice in Galesville, Maya is an honor student at Luther and participates in other school activities including Choir and National Honor Society. During the off-season, Maya trains at AMKM Gymnastics and has competed AAU gymnastics for the last 9 years. Her teachers and coaches all speak highly of her work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Jaxon is a first grader at Rushford Peterson elementary school. He has been apart of the Rushford Peterson youth wrestling team since he was in preschool. While maintaining good grades and amazing friendships with his peers, he has also worked very hard at each one of his wrestling tournaments. Jaxon has also been an amazing role model to his little brother Jace.

Joseph Oldendorf is a junior at West Salem High School. Joey has played soccer and hockey since he was in kindergarten. He has made it to state in hockey this year and his summer soccer team made it to state in 2015. He has been a lead scorer and team leader in both. He maintains his grades and has been on the honor roll for several years.

Mik, as her friends call her, has a joyful spirit. She is always up for a new adventure and loves outdoor activities – kayaking being a favorite. She has a huge heart, loves animals, and likes to get involved in community events. One of my favorite things about Mikaela is that she leads by example. She is a very hard worker, but likes to have fun in the process. She is encouraging to both her teammates and her classmates. She’s just a great member of any team.

Wyatt is a 10 year old (4th grader) at Galesville Elementary school. He works very hard in the classroom to achieve his goals. He is very active in many sports including football, basketball, baseball and racing. He loves all sports but his passion is racing. He races a slingshot at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, WI. He has been racing for 5 years. He started racing go karts and now races a slingshot. He won his first feature race this past summer. Wyatt also likes to help people in the community. If there is one thing that people would say about Wyatt, it is that he is a very kind boy who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.

Casie Lasko is a Sophomore at Tomah High School. She's involved in HOSA and Yearbook. Casie has played Soccer since she was 5 years old, she has done ODP club soccer and lettered her freshman year on varsity in Soccer Casie takes soccer seriously and is working out day and night to improve her skills all while maintaining a 3.9 grade point average. Casie is a great team player and loves all she learns from her teammates.

Lydia Korn is a Freshman at Cashton High School. She is In SADD(students against destructive decisions), FBLA(Future Business Leader of America), Band, Choir, Solo and Ensemble for Band and Choir, Piano solo and ensembles, and is currently in Viroqua and Cashtons co-op gymnastics. Lydia is also a participant a AMKM gymnastics program. Lydia has been on high honor all through middle school and into high school. Lydia went to State for Cross Country in the fall of 2016. She is an astonishing athlete and an awesome student.

Pablo Rodriguez is a Sophomore at Holmen High School. He is an exchange student from Spain. He is a varsity letter winner in soccer and has for the first time ever participated in wrestling and has even gotten a few varsity matches. He is looking forward to running track this spring. He has maintained excellent grades while perfecting his English skills.

Alex Bruley is an 11th grader attending Central High School. Alex competes in Cross Country and Soccer. Some how she does this all while maintaining an outstanding 4.0 GPA, even throughout all of her honors and advanced courses. She has qualified for State Cross Country on numerous occasions and is a tremendous example of leadership, hard work, and determination. On top of that, she is a member of Robed Choir, Wind Ensemble Band, National Honors Society, Student Council, and so many more activities!
WEEK OF JANUARY 30, 2017
Ellie Tschumper is a junior at West Salem. She plays softball, hunts, and is a great student. Ellie is the captain of the West Salem Coop Gymnastics team. She had knee surgery on April 20, 2016 and is competing in 3 events. She recently had a season high on bars scoring 9.2 and scored a 9.3 on floor and a career high of 9.45 on beam this season. She was named first team All Around for All state last season (only 5 gymnasts make 1st team for the state). She won the all around at conference last season and is currently ranked 2nd on both bars and beam in the state rankings!!!!
