ZCARE - UPCOMING EVENTS
Saturday, December 15, 2018 - Sunday, December 16, 2018
The La Crosse Community Warming Center is in high need of volunteers right now. The Warming Center is open every day from November 1st through April 30th from 7:00pm until 8:00am. The center serves up to 40 adults each night. In arriving at their front door seeking shelter, most of their guests have fallen through every crack in our community support system. For them, this could be the last stop before sleeping on a park bench or an out-of-the-way section of pavement in the dead of winter. The Warming Center provides a truly life-saving service to guests and make a difference in our community. The Warming Center is supported by hundreds of dedicated volunteers who generously donate thousands of hours of their time annually. Training is provided.
We are so glad we were able to donate to a wonderful family this weekend. Patti and Randy Goyette own La Crosse Olive Oil Company in downtown La Crosse and have been helping the homeless community in La Crosse for many years. Patti is fighting an aggressive cancer right now and their friends and family rallied around them on Saturday with a heartwarming event that had fantastic music, great silent auction items donated from friends and family, and more.
You can still donate to help out, too, HERE!
2Brothers Powersports needs your help to ensure local kids are not going hungry! They're teaming up with the Onalaska Schools' Food Pantry to collect food items this month to help feed the children in our community. The Onalaska Schools Food pantry is open to families with a child in any Onalaska school who need supplemental food staples. They distribute the first Friday of each month. This is a time of year that they need us the most since kids are home longer over holiday breaks. Last year they collected just over 100 pounds of food. This year they would like to double it! One pound of food equals about one meal so let’s make sure the kids in this area are fed. Please help by stopping by 2Brothers Powersports and dropping off your donation.
Once again, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors Dairyland Power Cooperative and Your Local Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, we're able to grant Christmas Wishes!
We couldn't do it without you. Thanks for thinking of others and sharing the spirit of the holidays! ♥
ZCare is so glad we were able to make a donation to Toys for Tots! The La Crosse Jaycees will be at the La Crosse Center until 6 tonight filling the truck with new, unwrapped toys! You can also make monetary donations at the event or drop off toys at their barrels through December 6th. We have a barrel at our studios in downtown La Crosse, 201 State Street, and they're also all over the community. Help make the holidays a little brighter for kids in our area!

Created in 2015, iFeed is a proclaimed holiday in La Crosse. iFeed is a one day event that brings the greater La Crosse community together to help alleviate hunger in the world and our own communities. The fourth annual event is organized by seven area high school Interact Clubs and their Rotarian advisors. Interact is the high school equivalent of Rotary that focuses on teaching servant leadership.
