I don't know if my weight was a factor in being single for so many years, or not, but I believe it's possible. If I'm being brutally honest (here goes), I am not physically attracted to excessively overweight people. So when I was overweight, I would think to myself...why would someone be attracted to me if I'm 80 pounds overweight? I thought about that a lot actually and it makes sense. Let's make something very clear; I have nothing against people who are overweight. What I DO know is that I'm personally not a fan of MY body being overloaded with excess weight because it's not healthy for ME.
“Brittany, you're beautiful on the inside and the outside.” That's what people would tell me all the time. I never believed them about the outside part. I would dress myself to look presentable in the body that I had, but the truth is I was always pretty uncomfortable in my body. I was uncomfortable until I met Kevin. I like to call him “Mr. Awesome” because that's what he is. We were set up on a blind date on October 14, 2015 and we both went into it with very low expectations. At that time, I was about 70 pounds overweight. I had gotten used to being rejected and that's why I stopped putting myself out there. But, this time I gave it a chance. And thank God I did. He saw past the extra weight and saw the true me. He got to know my heart and fell in love with me for who I was. And because we were so happy and in love, we enjoyed a lot of going out to dinner, cocktails, etc. while we were getting to know each other. I put another 10 pounds in the first year of our relationship. That “fat and happy” thing is a real doozy but it's a real thing! I felt comfortable with him and I knew he loved me for me. Yet, I still wasn't happy with myself.
The night of Saturday, January 21, 2017 Kevin proposed to me and made me the happiest woman on Earth! The very next morning, our lives changed in the blink of an eye. I fell 10 feet off of a stage at Wedding World and suffered a brain injury. Being that I lived to tell the tale...wow, was that a wake up call. Being that I was going to the doctor more frequently during my recovery, I was having a lot more conversations with my doctor. One in particular solidified what I had known all along. It was time that I do something about my weight before it would become a real medical issue.
That brings us to the best decision I ever made. Walking in the door at NuYou Weight Loss and More in Onalaska at the end of February 2017! With their guidance and their Weight Loss Programs, I lost 80 pounds and over 80 inches (while only losing 3 pounds of muscle) in just 9 months. All of those years of suffering and being unhappy...and in just 9 months...I got my life back! Their programs work! You follow them and you will get the results. It's simple.
On our wedding day (on our 2 year anniversary of meeting) I felt like the most beautiful bride in my wedding dress. That was something I didn't think I would ever get the chance to experience. Both; being a bride and feeling or looking beautiful in my wedding dress. Hands down the best day of my life, so far. Thank you NuYou! See my results with NuYou Here!

There is no such thing as a perfect diet or an easy way to lose weight. No matter which way you choose to lose weight, it takes discipline, dedication, and focus. That was my major downfall before I started the weight loss programs at NuYou Weight Loss and More. From the time I was in my early 20's, I remember trying various diets. Cutting carbs, eating all one thing for a long period of time, eating only soup...the list goes on. Sure, I lost some weight...but I gained it all back and then I gained more on top of it! I never understood proper nutrition until I went through the weight loss programs with NuYou! That's what is so wonderful about their programs. They teach you the importance of a healthy balanced diet. Protein, dairy, fruit, vegetables, and starches. It's finding the right balance and the correct amounts of each that will help you to get where you want to be. And that's why you pay the professionals to teach you! You just follow the program and stay on track. Plus, you have their constant support and advice. It was such a wonderful experience!
It took me years of being unhealthy, unhappy, and overweight to realize it was time to make a change. It took a brain injury and doctor's words to push me to the point of making the ultimate, forever change. I also wanted to be healthy for my new husband and our life together. Once you find the love of your life, you want to be around for a lifetime to enjoy that happiness as long as you possibly can! Plus, the thought of possibly wanting a child some day was hanging over my head. If I want to have a healthy pregnancy some day, I'll need to healthy myself. Thanks to NuYou's weight loss programs, I lost 80 pounds and over 80 inches in just 9 months! I'm revived and feeling healthier than ever!
We recently had a Fitness Expo for our radio station and invited celebrity fitness instructor Billy Blanks (creator of Tae Bo) to do a work out with a group of people. The work out was very intense, but I stuck with it the entire time and felt wonderful afterwards. I know there is absolutely no way I would have been able to get through that work out with 80 extra pounds on my body, and I'm grateful that I was able to participate and feel motivated to do that work out! I feel more motivated than ever before to continue doing different forms of exercise, not because I HAVE to...because I WANT to! Totally different perspective for me now, and I'm grateful to NuYou for helping me achieve my goals!

Reese is a 5th grader at West Salem Elementary. She plays basketball, volleyball, and soccer. She’s in her first year of Club ball and they just earned their third 1st place finish of the season. She does great in school and has recently been acknowledged by 2 teachers and the guidance counselor for standing up for a fellow student who was getting bullied.
Below is an excerpt from the email we received from her teacher:
I am so happy to share some things that I have noticed from Reese in school. Reese has been exceptionally responsible during class and with her homework. The main reason that I am emailing you today is because of a situation in the 5th grade that Reese handled with incredible maturity, support, and compassion. One of the girls in fifth grade has been getting picked on daily, making school a negative environment for her. Along with several other students, Reese has been openly standing up against these bullies. This act of standing up for a peer has been noticed by other fifth grade teachers, special education staff, support staff, and our administration. As a fifth grader standing up to your peers is not the easiest thing to do, but some students can do this with ease. By standing up for what she believes in, Reese shows incredible maturity and leadership! It makes me proud to have such mature, compassionate, and strong leaders in my class and I'm excited to see them carry these qualities as they go on to middle school.
