WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 25, 2017
Alyssa is a junior at Houston High School. She plays softball, volleyball, and basketball.
She holds the school record for the most three pointers made in a game and is almost
at her 1,000 career high school points. Alyssa also plays AAU summer/spring basketball
for the Rochester Shock. She coaches summer softball for Summer Rec. She is a very
good leader and role model. Alyssa is in the weight room or gym every morning and
helps with the younger kids anytime they need it. She is also a very good student.
She held a 3.97 GPA last school year and is very active in band, marching band,
7th grade mentoring, and student council.
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 18, 2017
Morgan is a sophomore at GET High School in Galesville. She is on the GET HS Dance team as well as the competition team for Paradigm Dance Project Studio in Winona. Last year she was one of 3 Freshmen at GET HS to receive the Coulee Conference Scholar Athlete award for maintaining a 3.5 GPA, while participating in a varsity sport. She also received an Academic Letter and Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9 GPA her first year of High School. In addition to dance, Morgan also participates in 4H where she serves as a Youth Leader for the Dairy program, and she has been a Girl Scout since she was 5.
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2017
Matthew is a 6th grader at De Soto Middle school.
He plays baseball, football and often starts kickball games at home.
He loves to swim, play catch, attend baseball camps and meet new friends.
Although he enjoys gym and lunch the best at school,
he is a good student and a serious competitor.
WEEK OF AUGUST 28TH, 2017
Jens is 8 years old and going to be a 3rd Grader at Lawrence- Lawson Elementary School in Sparta. He's an outstanding student and excels at reading and math. He loves sports, and is active in Wrestling, Basketball and Baseball. Jens also loves all animals and enjoys his pets, along with raising chickens and showing his family's Percheron Draft Horses. He has won many 1st place awards in showmanship and driving, in his age group, and shows at many local county fairs. Jens is a hard worker and is a great friend.
WEEK OF AUGUST 21, 2017
Allison will be a Senior this year at Wauzeka-Steuben High School. She has excelled in academics, athletics, and volunteer work. Allison has made the honor roll and joined the Junior Auxiliary. She was also nominated by her classmates as Prom Queen this past year. Allison has been in volleyball, basketball and track for 3 years. She made it to State track this past June, in 300 Meter and Low Hurdles, and she placed 8th in Finals. For all her efforts, she was named 1st team all conference in track. Allison also puts in a lot of volunteer hours. She has gone on youth mission trips to Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, and Missouri.
WEEK OF AUGUST 14, 2017
Landon will be a 5th grader at Melrose-Mindoro. He plays baseball, football and participates in wrestling! This year Landon stepped up and was asked to be the pitcher in several baseball games. He has worked hard and it paid off! He is looking forward to football this season! He made his first touch down and 2 point conversion playing quarter back last fall. Landon wrestles all over WI and it is one of his favorite times of the year. He loves getting to be independent on the mat with his Dad by his side as his coach. Aside from athletics, he is an avid hunter and fisherman. He has high hopes going into his first youth hunt. Academically, Landon is a top notch student turning in homework on time, being in school everyday, and setting an example for the younger students in the building.

Jordan attends Lewiston Altura Intermediate school and is going into 6th grade. She is an A Honor Roll Student and she was named Student of the Week, all while playing 3 sports! Jordan plays volleyball, basketball, and softball for St Charles Gamblers. This past summer she finished her softball season with a .661 batting average, while leading her team to 3 tournament championships and a 14 game winning streak during the last 4 tournaments. Both staff, coaches, and students have nothing but good things to say about her school work, attitude, and willingness to help others.
WEEK OF JULY 24, 2017
Maria will be a Junior at Caledonia High School. She is involved in track, holds down an early morning job of milking cows for her neighbor, and is skilled in horse back riding. Most days she's training her horse, Cinchy, for speed events and other classes that showcase their partnership. Her peers and adults have recognized her as the 2017 Triple R Saddle Club Queen. She attends horse shows in the South East Minnesota Show Association and represents our area. How many other athletes have a 1100 lb partner with attitude and speed?!
WEEK OF JULY 17, 2017
Madalyn will be a fourth grader at Emerson this fall. She has danced since she was two years old. Madalyn currently dances at the Y and La Crosse Dance Center, in the areas of Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, and Tap. Madalyn is also part of the Youth Kinetic Company at La Crosse Dance Center and will be dancing in her second Nutcracker performance this year, in the role of Soldier. Madalyn is also a Junior in Girl Scouts and is involved in the summer school drama production of Cinderella, playing the role of Fairy Godmother. This summer Madalyn is starting to play Cello and is taking Voice lessons for the first time. She is an amazing student and is in an advanced math group at her school.
