WEEKENDS

I grew up listening to Z93 in my hometown of Neillsville, WI. A painfully awkward and shy kid, talking to myself while playing music in a soundproof room seemed appealing. So at age 14, I joined my hometown radio station. A few years later, I made it a full-time pursuit and landed the 7-midnight slot here on Z93, before moving to the afternoon shift. Then I left the airwaves and La Crosse for various gigs in Madison; some awful (cubicle dweller), some awesome (automotive journalism). Since radio always remained a passion—and because Midwest Family Broadcasting never changed the locks—I wandered back in and can be heard weekends. Outside the studio, it's Brewers, Packers, cars, travel, Mid-Century Modern antiquing and fiddling with my vintage BMW motorcycle. I’m still painfully awkward and shy. Except now they tell me it’s not charming, it’s creepy. Lifetime movie creepy.
